The PEGGY CHOY DANCE COMPANY embodies intercultural fusion that springs from the re-ciphering of cultural roots. The Washington Post says that Choy's works "...juxtapose the contemporary and the timeless." Asian movement and martial arts are positioned in a global landscape, juxtaposing a diversity of forms from Javanese dance, to Korean court dance, from urban street dance, to American boxing.

The PEGGY CHOY DANCE COMPANY has performed and toured works since the mid-1990s from Jakarta to New York, at venues including New York's Dance Theater Workshop, La Mama E.T.C., and Danspace Project/St. Mark's Church, at the Kennedy Center, Dance Place and the Smithsonian Institution in DC, the Kennedy Theater in Honolulu, Utan Kayu in Jakarta, and at the Seoul Art Center in Korea. Choy's awards include Danspace Project's Commissioning Initiative, Princeton and Cornell university commissions, and the NEA/Atlantic Center for the Arts fellowship.

PEGGY CHOY DANCE PRODUCTIONS builds local, national and international performance opportunities for innovative artists, impacting a diversity of communities through collaborative partnerships.
